Reading Rainbow Android is an interactive reading library for kids. It contains books, text-to-speech and videos. The project consisted of a port of a preexisting iOS app to Android to target the Kindle Fire. My work on the project consisted of implementing different screens, implementing a caching mechanism for photos, videos and books and implementing various video and other controls. Challenges of the project included limited amounts of memory (limited to 48MB on the Kindle Fire) and cross-device compatibility.
